nextstep Centres

nextstep centres are staffed by qualified advisers who can give information and advice on jobs, training and courses. For example, if you're looking for work, need to update your CV, want to find a course, start up in business or perhaps even change career, a nextstep adviser can point you in the right direction. They can also refer you to other organisations if you're looking for a different kind of support.

The nextstep LeicesterShire service is available across the City and County. You can find our advisers at a wide range of centres, including most Jobcentre Plus offices. Click on nextstep Centres to see a full list and details.

Some centres offer other types of support in addition to nextstep information and advice. Click on Partners to find out more.

The nextstep shop

At the heart of nextstep operations is the Shop based in Leicester City centre at 82 Charles Street.

The Shop offers a drop-in service so you do not need an appointment.

Your first visit

The first time you visit, our friendly and helpful team of nextstep advisers will greet you.

Your Careers Adviser will offer you a thirty-minute advice session and will help you with great advice about finding work, applying for jobs, training courses and much more.

Once you have completed this thirty-minute session you will be free to use any of the facilities in the Shop.

nextstep for Belgrave

nextstep for Belgrave is a service exclusively for the residents of the Belgrave area of Leicester. The nextstep for Belgrave advisers are able to help you over a period of time and you can return to them as many times as you like for more help and advice.

The Together Project

Together is a partnership of organisations working together to combat unemployment in the most disadvantaged areas of Leicester. Together is committed to tackling barriers to employment and to making sure that those people who want to work have a chance of doing so.
